ITSEC Asia and PT Len Industri (Persero) Join Forces to Strengthen Indonesia’s Cybersecurity

PT ITSEC Asia Tbk (ITSEC Asia) (IDX: CYBR), together with its subsidiary ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy, has entered into a strategic collaboration with PT Len Industri (Persero) to strengthen the development of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) technology and talent in Indonesia.

The partnership focuses on two key areas: research and development, as well as cybersecurity solutions and talent development through education and training programs in cybersecurity and AI.

The collaboration was formalized through the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Bandung on April 30, 2026. The first MoU between PT Len Industri (Persero) and ITSEC Asia focuses on cybersecurity technology and solution development. The second, signed with ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy, covers education, training and competency development programs in cybersecurity and AI.

The collaboration comes amid growing attention to cybersecurity as a national security priority. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto recently warned that modern threats extend beyond conventional warfare to include cyber warfare and information warfare. President Prabowo also emphasized the importance of mastering AI, cyber systems and other modern technologies to address these evolving threats.

The rise in cyber threats highlights the need to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities through technology development and a skilled workforce. PT Len Industri (Persero), ITSEC Asia and ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy will bring together their respective expertise to address both areas.

As the parent company of DEFEND ID, Indonesia’s Defense Industry Holding, and a national technology company, PT Len Industri (Persero) continues to strengthen its capabilities in digital technology and cybersecurity as part of Indonesia’s strategic technology development. Strong cybersecurity is increasingly essential to maintaining system reliability, protecting digital infrastructure and supporting the development of secure, resilient and competitive defense products.

Through this collaboration, PT Len Industri (Persero) is also supporting greater innovation and workforce development in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).

Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, said the collaboration with PT Len Industri (Persero) reflects the need to develop cybersecurity technology and human capital in parallel.

“Cyber threats are evolving rapidly, while the technology we rely on is also changing with the rise of AI. Indonesia needs both the technology capabilities and the talent to develop, manage and secure them. Through our collaboration with PT Len Industri (Persero), we aim to bring together the experience and expertise of both organizations, from technology research and development to preparing the cybersecurity and AI talent Indonesia needs,” said Patrick.

On the technology side, ITSEC Asia and PT Len Industri (Persero) will combine their respective capabilities, resources and expertise to conduct cybersecurity research and development and create solutions covering cybersecurity consulting services and products. The scope of the collaboration also includes the provision, implementation, integration and management of cybersecurity technology services and products based on projects agreed upon by both parties.

For talent development, ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy and PT Len Industri (Persero) will develop education and competency-building programs in cybersecurity and AI. These programs may include training, workshops, seminars, certification programs and other initiatives based on the needs and agreements of both parties.

Prof. Joga Dharma Setiawan, Ph.D., President Director of PT Len Industri (Persero), said the partnership represents a strategic step to bring together the strengths, capabilities, resources and expertise of both organizations to advance cybersecurity technology innovation and deliver education, training and competency development programs in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Through this collaboration, both parties are also committed to providing consulting services as well as integrated cybersecurity solutions and products that can be implemented effectively and sustainably. The partnership is also expected to develop highly capable digital talent and contribute to strengthening Indonesia’s national cybersecurity ecosystem,” said Joga.

Patrick added that Indonesia’s ability to respond to evolving cyber threats will depend heavily on its capacity to develop both technology and human resources.

“We want to see more technology, expertise and talent developed in Indonesia to address Indonesia’s own needs. Through collaborations like this, we hope to strengthen domestic capabilities to develop and secure technologies that will become increasingly strategic to Indonesia’s future,” Patrick concluded.

ITSEC Asia Strengthens Indonesia’s Cybersecurity Through Talent Development & AI Solutions

ITSEC Asia reaffirmed the importance of accelerating cybersecurity talent development in Indonesia through direct support for Firoos Ghathfaan Ramadhan, a 14-year-old student from Subang who recently identified a security vulnerability in a global platform. Amid rising cyber threats and rapidly evolving industry demands, the emergence of young talents like Firoos highlights Indonesia’s strong potential to compete on the global stage. Realizing that potential, however, requires sustained and meaningful support. As part of the Cyber Talent Program, ITSEC Asia provided essential tools to support Firoos’s ongoing research and technical development. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in Indonesia. President Director of ITSEC Asia, Patrick Dannacher, noted that the challenge in cybersecurity today goes beyond technology and increasingly centers on talent readiness. “We often talk about cyber threats, but far less about talent readiness. The reality is, many young Indonesians are already performing at a global level. What remains to be built is an ecosystem that consistently supports their growth,” he said. This initiative also aligns with
