ITSEC Asia to Host AICX 2026, Advancing Indonesia’s AI and Cybersecurity Agenda
AICX 2026 will bring government and industry leaders together to strengthen Indonesia’s readiness for accelerated AI adoption through sound governance, cyber resilience and talent development.
ITSEC Asia (IDX: CYBR), a cybersecurity and AI company operating in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region, will host the AI & Cybersecurity Executive Forum (AICX) 2026 on 20 October 2026 at Bali Beach Convention in Sanur, Bali. Held as part of Bali Tech Week 2026, taking place from 19 to 23 October, the forum will bring together government representatives, regulators and around 600 C-level executives and senior decision-makers from across industries to discuss Indonesia’s readiness for accelerating AI adoption, cybersecurity risks and emerging technologies.
AICX 2026 builds on ITSEC Asia’s annual executive forum, which previously focused on cybersecurity. This year, the discussion expands to reflect the growing links between AI adoption, data protection, cybersecurity, workforce readiness and emerging technologies such as quantum computing.
These connections are becoming more relevant to organisations as AI moves into day-to-day operations, data analysis and decision-making. Its adoption also raises practical questions about security, governance, accountability and an organisation’s ability to manage the risks involved.
Patrick Dannacher, President Director of PT ITSEC Asia Tbk, said AI has become a strategic business issue for company leaders.
“AI has moved beyond experimentation and is becoming part of everyday business operations. The question for leaders is no longer whether their organisations will use AI, but how they can use it safely and responsibly while delivering real business value,” Patrick said.
“Decisions about AI, cybersecurity, data and talent are increasingly connected. Through AICX, we want to bring CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, government representatives and regulators into one forum, so discussions about technology also account for risk, organisational readiness and the implications for Indonesia,” he added.
As part of Bali Tech Week 2026, AICX will address issues high on the agenda for government and industry, including digital governance and sovereignty, cybersecurity as AI advances, preparedness for quantum computing, enterprise AI adoption and the talent needed to support Indonesia’s digital economy.
The forum will also examine how organisations can adopt AI while maintaining appropriate security and governance. For businesses, the challenge extends beyond choosing technology. It includes protecting data, overseeing AI use, measuring business outcomes and preparing employees for changing ways of working.
Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, Director General of Digital Ecosystem at Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, said AI development requires collaboration among government, industry and other stakeholders so that its benefits can be shared widely while its risks are managed.
“Indonesia’s use of AI requires an ecosystem that connects technology development, industry needs, workforce readiness and governance that allows growth. The government needs to work with industry and other stakeholders to build that ecosystem,” Edwin said.
“We hope AICX, as part of Bali Tech Week, will provide a forum for dialogue between the government and industry leaders on how Indonesia can realise AI’s economic benefits while managing the risks that come with it,” he added.
AICX 2026 will welcome leaders from government, financial services, telecommunications, technology, energy, manufacturing and other industries accelerating their AI and digital transformation.
Patrick added that Indonesia needs to prepare for AI’s continued development now, as the technology increasingly shapes how companies operate, make decisions and protect their digital assets.
“Indonesia has a significant opportunity to benefit from AI. But readiness cannot be measured by how quickly we adopt the technology alone. Organisations also need the security, governance and talent to manage it well. That is the conversation we want to advance through AICX,” Patrick said.
